Our Statement of Faith

The Bible is the inspired word of God and the foundation of our faith. We believe the Nicene Creed to be a most modest summation of that faith. We therefore band ourselves together as a body of believers in Jesus Christ, personally committed to proclaiming the good news of salvation to lost mankind.

Church Covenant

Having been led by the Spirit of God to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as our personal saviour, and on the profession of our faith, we do now in the presence of God and this assembly, most solemnly and joyfully enter into covenant with one another, as one body of Christ.

We endeavour, therefore, by the aid of the Holy Spirit, to walk together in Christian love; to strive for the growth of this church in knowledge, holiness, and mutual concern; to promote its well-being and spirituality; to maintain its worship, ordinances and disciplines; to uphold its doctrines; to contribute cheerfully and regularly to its ministries, the expenses of the church, the relief of the poor, and the spread of the Gospel throughout all nations.

We also endeavour to promote and maintain family and private devotions, to educate our children in the fear of the Lord, to seek the salvation of our kindred and acquaintances, to walk uprightly in the world, to be just in our dealings, faithful to our commitment, exemplary in our conduct, and zealous in our efforts to advance the kingdom of our saviour.

We therefore endeavour to watch over one another in brotherly love; remember one another in prayer; aid one another in sickness and distress; and cultivate Christian sympathy in feeling, courtesy and speech; being slow to take offence, but always ready for reconciliation and, mindful of the teachings of our saviour, to secure it without delay.
